What's the difference between the three different colored C-A-T® tourniquets? The color. That's it. So all three of them are made with the exact same specs, exact same materials, exact same quality. Well, the original C-A-T® is black. It's a more subdued look preferred by military and law enforcement, so they can wear it on their kit and it doesn't stand out against their camouflage pattern or their uniform pattern.
We created the orange tourniquet, which is a high-visibility color, and this is really for the public market. So we want this to stand out. So if a tourniquet is applied to someone, we want people to know and be able to rapidly identify that a tourniquet has been placed on them. So we also created a blue training tourniquet.
You can reuse this over and over in training to make sure that you're proficient in how to use a tourniquet. When it comes time for real world use, remember, that these are medical devices. They're single-use devices. So make sure that you have a fresh C-A-T® tourniquet ready to go in case of an emergency.
